1-22-21 THOUGHTS

We are God’s  INHERITANCE, and an inheritance is “reserved in heaven for us”!  
Ps 33:12  Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.
To the priests from Levi...   Ezek 44:28  "And it shall be with regard to an inheritance for them, [that] I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel — I am their possession.   We are called  “a royal priesthood,” in 1Pet 2:9.
Saul to Agrippa recounting what Jesus said to him on the road to Damascus:
Acts 26:17-18    rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, 18  to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’
Gal 3:18  For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.
Eph 1:9-14    He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10  with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11  also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12  to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13  In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation —  having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14  who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
Eph 1:18   [I pray that] the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Heb 9:15    For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were [committed] under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
1Pet 1:4   to [obtain] an inheritance [which is] imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

My Prayer:
We praise you Oh God at the beginning of a new day.  Thank you for the promise of inheritance in Christ Jesus.  We are awed to be called your inheritance.  We look forward to your remaining promises Oh Father.  As your children, guide us to the victory, the great overcoming.
